The conference is free to all Silver Fern Farms Farmer shareholders and farmer-suppliers to attend.
Shareholders will be given preferential allocation.

Please note - you will need your Shareholder or Supplier Number to complete the registration.

 

You will need to complete one registration for each person attending our Silver Fern Farms 2022 Plate to Pasture Farmer Conference in it's entirety.     

In addition to registering your attendance for the main conference session (by completing this form), you will be asked to register for various optional activities.  At this time you may request additional tickets for your farm team to attend social functions should they not be able to attend the conference.  Again, please note, anyone attending the conference must complete the full registration.

Global Food Market Welcome

This year's Global Food Market Welcome dinner, is a great opportunity to spend some time with fellow farmer suppliers. The final of the 2022 Silver Fern Farms Boning Competition will also take place on this evening. Space is limited so be sure to select a ticket to secure your place.

If you have family travelling with you that aren't attending the conference that would like to attend the Global Food Market evening ONLY, please select additional tickets here. Anyone attending the conference sessions should complete their own registration and select a ticket for the social events they wish to attend in that registration.

Plate to Pasture Awards Dinner

The Plate to Pasture Awards give us the opportunity to recognise our farmers who live and breathe food and understand what their consumers want from quality red meat and the people who produce it. Taking place at Te Pae Convention Centre, the overall winner of the 2022 Plate to Pasture Award will be announced.

If you have family travelling with you that would like to attend the Plate to Pasture Awards Dinner ONLY, please select additional tickets here. Space is limited; should you want more than two tickets person, preference will be given to shareholders. Please put your request for additional tickets in the free format box below. Anyone attending the conference sessions should complete their own registration and select a ticket for the Plate to Pasture Awards Dinner in that registration.

Plant Tour - Silver Fern Farms Belfast

BBQing Masterclass

Having recently achieved number one in New Zealand, and representing the land of the long white cloud at the Steak Cookoff World Champs in Texas earlier this year; local Cantabrian Dean Davis will showcase his skills, tips and trick on how to cook to perfection with his BBQing Masterclass.

Lunch will be included at the end of the BBQing Masterclass Tour. Those who need to catch flights home will be returned to Christchurch Airport no later that 3pm for check-in.

Silver Fern Farmer: Digital Platform Deep Dive

Our Silver Fern Farmer website and app team will walk through the process of app development, plus we'll reveal our plans for the digital future including a sneaky peak at some great new functionality.  This session is for anyone wanting to learn more about the digital tolls available in the Silver Fern Farmer platform, and it's your chance to give feedback, request features and get into the nitty-gritty with the experts.

 

Fifth Quarter

When we talk about red meat we tend to think of rib eye steaks and lamb racks, however there are huge streams of value to be captured in everything that’s not red meat – the ‘fifth quarter’. Our Fifth Quarter Sales Team will walk you through the many weird and wonderful products we supply to global customers, ranging from cultural delicacies to pharmaceutical goods. Learn about how we’re continually working to expand the value we capture from nose to tail, and get hands on with some of the less well known parts of the carcase.

 

Our Regenerative Partnership Pilot

Join Silver Fern Farms’ On-Farm Sustainability team, to talk through the new on-farm Regenerative Agriculture pilot in with the Savory Institute. Learn about how the Land to Market programme is being applied in a New Zealand context, what indicators are measured to verify regeneration, and discuss how that might scale across a variety of farming environments. Recommended for those interested in joining our regenerative programmes in future.

 

Innovative by Nature

Participate in this exciting hands-on workshop with our in-house innovation team, featuring experts in production, packaging, and food and nutrition. Learn how we develop and launch new products, all the way from butchery specifications to barbecues, and have the chance to build out your own bestselling idea!

Just a reminder, attendance at the Plate to Pasture 2022 Farmer Conference is complimentary. You will need to make your own travel and accommodation arrangements. Below are some great options, that are close to the Te Pae Convention Centre where the conference is being held. Accommodation in Christchurch fills up fast so make sure you book your accommodation early.

Attendance at the 2022 Farmers Conference is complimentary, you are responsible for your own travel and accommodation arrangements and costs. Should your plans change, and you are unable to make it, please let us know at your earliest convenience. Should you cancel within 7 days of the conference, a $350 per person cancellation fee may apply. Silver Fern Farms Covid 19 Policy Please do not attend if:  You are unwell or exhibiting or showing any signs of illness associated with Covid-19 (e.g. new or worsening cough, sneezing and runny nose, fever, temporary loss of smell or altered sense of taste, sore throat or shortness of breath).  You have a household contact currently isolating with Covid-19.  You are currently waiting for results of a Covid 19 test. Silver Fern Farms is able to provide you with a rapid antigen test(s) (should access be challenging), we ask that you take a RAT the morning of prior to attending the event. Photography / Film Consent I understand that event photography and/or film will be taking place at this event and consent to being photographed or filmed by Silver Fern Farms event partners. I understand photographs and/or film may be used by Silver Fern Farms for promotional purposes of any kind at any time in the future.
